At least we're getting 'defense' cuts, right?

Yeah, don't count it, Medea Benjamin and I say in our latest piece. Like Elizabeth Warren, the White House's claimed determination to cut military spending is but liberal catnip that will be dropped at the first predictable sign of resistance.

Why are you using the term "Defense" in you title? Are you so brainwashed by the military/industrial'/prison complex that you actually think that the military budget has anything to do with the acutal defense of the United States against an invader or even a remote threat? "Defesne spending" is used by the U.S. corporate fascists as a propaganda term that bears no relation to reality, as you should know by now. As long as ostensible progressive pundits use the term, this nation has no chance of stopping fascism and the military. Get real.

  2. Anonymous,

I think Mr. Davis is pretty clear on where he stands regarding the nonsense of the term "defense." That is why he put it in QUOTES.

Please stop adding to the circular firing squad.
