Fair is fair

Now that every good, patriotic liberal believes Barack Obama is personally responsible for the success or failure of every U.S. military action undertaken during his watch, can we call the dude a mass murderer yet?

  2. Don't worry, Charles. Now that we got bin Laden I'm sure all the drone bombings in Pakistan will end. (Is it even necessary to add that I'm being sarcastic?)

So his commitment in 08 to tracking bin Laden into Pakistan aside, you're still going to shit all over Obama vaguely?

2 term POTUS: deal with it

  4. Geez, it's all "we're going to the Super Bowl!" with you partisan idiots, huh? Rather than a vague criticism, I linked to a very specific incident where dozens of civilians -- men, women and children; fathers, mothers and their loved ones -- were killed directly as a result of Obama's war in Pakistan. Yet you can't feign even the slightest regret over their deaths. It's all rah-rah, Obama 2012, the murder of hundreds okay because one of them was a bad guy. Grotesque.

  5. "Grotesque."

But informative, so far as what "voting for the lesser evil" really means: Any evil's lesser so long as MY GUY'S in charge when it happens!!11 Yay, team!

2 term president? Dude, you are just being a caricature of a mindless partisan drone. Yes, he probably will get 2 terms. But it's not about that! This isn't about your team or my team winning, this is about killing less people. This is about humanity. It's about taking my money, representing the US, and dropping bombs on people and mass murder.

Obama has proven that he will do that. He states that he wants to continue doing that. He is going to do that next term. That's why he is not supported by the blogger.

If (in some alternate reality) Obama actually stopped the wars, Charles would support him. Because he's about principles, convictions, morals, not about red state vs. blue state.

Please pick a sports team to cheer on because you don't have the decency of a human being to discuss politics.

In fairness to most Democrats, they were never too forceful about opposing wars abroad. If I remember correctly, John Kerry didn't argue that the invasion of Iraq was wrong, just that the Bush Administration mishandled it.

The Democratic Party and much of the progressive establishment are tied to a managerial ideology. Their basic program is that they are not as stupid, corrupt, or crazy as the Republicans. That is it. There is none of the reformism or radicalism that used to define, say, the Populist movement.

But what can you expect from a movement that is by and for the professional class?
