Would it later turn out that she could be in trouble with these same cops for not calling them when she first knocked on the door and got no answer?

Well, either way the cops were jerks. I guess we should be happy that the day ended with nobody being tasered. :/ms_xenohttp://www.flickr.com/photos/xenophoranoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9339045.post-46285708179015474002012-10-21T18:13:12.913-07:002012-10-21T18:13:12.913-07:00This doesn't quite qualify as Theft of Service...This doesn't quite qualify as Theft of Services Charles. While I agree that it was shitty for the guy to back out once she arrived without at least tipping her gas money he hasn't committed a crime here. Now should she have performed the dance and then he refused to pay up that's clearly theft of services. I think the officers could have made that point without mocking her though.Coldtypehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09509152474515164151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9339045.post-41997284378241863302012-10-21T18:11:41.837-07:002012-10-21T18:11:41.837-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Coldtypehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09509152474515164151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9339045.post-51237593021476574672012-10-21T12:40:04.764-07:002012-10-21T12:40:04.764-07:00Yeah, well, New Hampshire.Yeah, well, New Hampshire.NomadUKnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9339045.post-78545079771756825672012-10-19T00:04:44.825-07:002012-10-19T00:04:44.825-07:00Try calling in the police and deciding once they c...Try calling in the police and deciding once they come there isn't really a crime. That usually flies, right? You'd never get hit with a hefty fine or even jail time for falsely reporting?

Hell, they never even shot an unarmed black man reaching for his wallet, so I'd be hard pressed to say it was theft of services.Danielhttp://danielmwolff.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9339045.post-26703516411327866752012-10-17T17:55:12.117-07:002012-10-17T17:55:12.117-07:00I once did not open the door when I ordered a pizz... I once did not open the door when I ordered a pizza, and did not have the cash/credit.

That's a pretty shitty thing to do, perhaps mitigated by the fact it was Domino's taking the hit. It's an even shittier thing to do to a dancer, someone who's presumably an independent contractor and is taking the loss themselves -- and who, according to accepted practice and law, would be justified charging for a missed appointment.Charles Davishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06005070529766546097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9339045.post-84332546511397950332012-10-17T16:29:37.828-07:002012-10-17T16:29:37.828-07:00Oh please, I once did not open the door when I ord...Oh please, I once did not open the door when I ordered a pizza, and did not have the cash/credit.
